About Wadesville, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Wadesville is an incredibly charming, somewhat rural, super peaceful community in Indiana. It simply screams “Midwest” as you drive through. The people are friendly, the landscapes are breathtaking and the culture is unlike any other. This little piece of Americana retains a beauty and serenity that many other modern towns have lost. But, it also happens to be near to the much larger town of Evansville, which has a college, hospitals, tons of jobs and more. The weather in Wadesville is like all of the Midwest. It is cold in the winter, hot in the summer and the leaves light on fire with red, orange and yellow in the fall. Those beautiful landscapes mentioned before are constantly transforming and those who love to watch the seasons change get to enjoy the best of all possible worlds.
The area is alive with Early American culture that can be seen everywhere that you turn. For example, the nearby town of New Harmony was an early American settlement with Utopian ideals and was a hotbed of change. As a matter of fact, it was not so dissimilar to what some people might call a hippie commune today. Within the settlement, advanced experiments in schooling, collective living and art were endeavored and, unfortunately, ultimately failed. But, the ideas and values of communities like these planted the seeds of change that are still blooming today. In any case, should you find yourself in the area, you can’t miss New Harmony. Go in any season. No worries. There are both indoor and outdoor sights to see!
The plantation home of George Washington, Mount Vernon Estate, is also in the area. It is in the town of its name sake, as a matter of fact – Mount Vernon, Indiana. The plantation was owned by his family for generations and was eventually left to him at which time he completed an expansion of the estate that was already underway. This is special because it gives visitors the sense that they are truly walking in the home of the first president and that they can see which choices he made for his home and his land. Visit during different seasons so you can see the home and the surrounding land, as well as a national park, in the sunshine and the snow.
